Mike Brock is a nationally recognized trial lawyer with 30 years of experience handling complex litigation. Mr. Brock maintains a national trial practice with Kirkland & Ellis LLP from his offices in Montgomery and Washington, D.C. His practice focuses on product liability, mass tort, and class action cases. He has represented companies in some of the most high-stakes litigation in recent history. He served as Lead Trial Counsel for BP in the Deepwater Horizon Gulf of Mexico litigation. Mr. Brock secured defense verdicts in a series of trials for Merck & Co. for their products Vioxx and Fosamax and for General Motors in a series of trials in the Ignition Switch Litigation.
Mr. Brock is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. He received a B.S. degree in Business and Commerce from The University of Alabama in 1981 and a J.D. Degree from The University of Alabama School of Law in 1984.
While participating in college athletics at the University of Alabama, Mr. Brock was recognized as an All-Southeastern Conference Lineman on Alabama鈥檚 National Championship teams of 1978 and 1979 under the leadership of the late Coach Bryant. During law school, he was the first recipient of the University of Alabama Athletic Department Graduate Scholarship and he was a member the Law School鈥檚 Moot Court Board.
Mr. Brock is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and Litigation Counsel of America.
